How a download works
- Open the link. A mod page sends you to a ModsDrop file page with the file name, size and scan result.
- Press Download. After a short countdown the file comes straight from our storage — resumable, even for multi-gigabyte mods.
- Something wrong? Every file page has a report form. Copyright and malware reports are handled first.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. Downloads are free and need no account. The ads on the pages pay for the storage and the traffic.
Can I upload my own mods?
Yes. Make a free account and you can upload game mods right away, up to 6 GB a file — and 70% of the advertising on your files is yours.
Are the files safe?
Files are scanned with VirusTotal (60+ antivirus engines) and the result is always shown on the file page. Files above VirusTotal’s 650 MB limit cannot be scanned there, and their page says so.
I own a file that is hosted here. How do I get it removed?
Use “Report this file” on the file page and choose Copyright, or see the Copyright and content complaints page. Valid requests are removed without argument.
