An account is for mod authors who want to host their files here. Downloading needs no account, and it never will.

Uploading is not open yet, so an account cannot do much today. Creating one now means you are ready, and that I can tell you when uploading opens.

What the account holds

• The name you pick, which will be shown on your files once uploading opens.
• Your e-mail address, used to confirm the account and to reach you. It is never shown publicly.
• Nothing else. No real name, no address, no payment details.
• If you sign in with Google, the site also keeps the identifier Google uses for your account, so it recognises you next time. ModsDrop never sees your Google password.

What the site records about visitors in general is set out on the privacy page. You can ask for the account and everything in it to be deleted at any time through the contact page.
