Imprint — Who runs this site

Last updated: 20 September 2026

This page says who runs modsdrop.com and how to reach him. EU law requires a hosting service to publish it: the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) and the Hungarian e-commerce act (Act CVIII of 2001).

Who runs this site

modsdrop.com is run by one private individual, not by a company. There is no company registration number and no trade register entry, because there is no company — one person is responsible for the site and for what is on it. He is based in Hungary, in the European Union. The servers are in Germany.

What this site is

modsdrop.com is a file host for video game mods. Downloads are free and need no account. At this stage only the operator’s own files are hosted; public uploading is not open yet. The site sells nothing, takes no payments and shows no adverts.

Where the site is hosted

Point of contact (Digital Services Act)

The Digital Services Act asks a hosting service for an electronic point of contact for authorities (Article 11 — the European Commission, the European Board for Digital Services, the Digital Services Coordinators and other Member State authorities) and one for users of the service (Article 12). For modsdrop.com both are the same e-mail address.

Reporting illegal content

Every file page has a Report button. There is also a contact form, and you can write to [email protected] directly. To make it quick to act on, please include:

A report message can be up to 4000 characters. It is stored on the site as a private entry and sent on to the operator by e-mail through Brevo (Sendinblue), an e-mail provider in the EU. Your IP address is stored with the report. The Privacy Policy sets this out in full.

What happens next: the operator reads the report and decides himself. There is no review team and no automated filter. If he takes a file down, he moves its page to the trash, and no new download link can be created for it. A download link that was already handed out is signed and can keep working until it expires, at most six hours later. If you left an e-mail address, he will write back and tell you what he decided.

Copyright complaints

If you hold the rights to something hosted here and it should not be here, use the copyright form or write to [email protected] with the link, a description of the work, and a statement that you are the rights holder or act for the rights holder.

The operator is established in the EU and handles copyright notices under EU and Hungarian law. modsdrop.com has no designated DMCA agent registered with the US Copyright Office, so the US notice-and-counter-notice procedure does not run here. A notice sent by e-mail is dealt with in the same way as one sent through the form.

Your data

The site sets no cookies for visitors who are not logged in, and runs no analytics of any kind — no Google Analytics, no pixels. What is kept, such as server logs and the messages you send, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Links to other sites

Pages here may link to other sites. Those sites are run by other people, and their content is their responsibility, not the operator’s. If you find a link here that leads somewhere it should not, write to [email protected] and he will look at it.
