THE FINALS got update 12.1.0 on 29 October 2026, and the Arena is now covered in a mysterious fog along with a new cosmetic drop. Alongside the Halloween dressing there’s a chunk of balance work and a long list of bug fixes. If you’re still chasing tickets for the Frights Galore Event, you have until 5 November 2026 to finish collecting them.

The new cosmetic item is the Revenant Countess Set, sold in the store as part of the spooky season lineup along with other pumpkin and skeleton themed gear.

Balance changes

The Translocator gadget had its max range cut from 70m to 50m. The developer said the gadget has had a bigger impact than expected, and on top of some bug fixes this range reduction is meant to pull it back toward a reasonable power level. More changes to it are expected later in the season.

Weapon-wise, the CB-01 had its damage lowered from 88 to 85 after early Season 12 data showed it was hitting too hard. The Pike-556 keeps its buffed state from update 12.0 but its headshot multiplier drops from 1.75 to 1.5, since the earlier change made it dominant in usage and kill rate.

On the UI side, shotgun pellet hit markers now last 0.5s instead of 1s by default, and there’s a new setting to turn them off completely if you find them distracting.

Fixes worth knowing about

A batch of cosmetic items that launched with placeholder art in Season 12 have now been swapped for their intended designs. The Mimic Device gadget picked up several fixes, including shadow bugs that could reveal your position and a case where it let players clip through Cashout Stations and Grand Vaults. There are also map fixes for blocking curtains in Monaco and Skyway Stadium, a stability fix for a PS5 and Xbox freeze during loading screens, and a stack of readability and contrast improvements across menus, contracts and the Career Profile screen.

What this means for players

If you’ve been using third-party software to run gyro controls, pay attention here. The developer confirmed that this kind of setup, especially when gyro gets mapped to mouse or keyboard input, can look identical to cheating from the anti-cheat’s perspective, and using it puts your account at risk of a ban. Native gyro support right now only works with DualSense controllers and is limited in options, but the team says it’s working on expanding that support to more peripherals and settings down the line.

For everyone else, the practical takeaway is simpler: expect your CB-01 and Pike-556 loadouts to feel a bit different, the Translocator won’t reach as far as it used to, and if the Frights Galore Event rewards still matter to you, get your remaining tickets in before 5 November 2026.
