Bongo Cat Update Adds New Bongos Slot and Autumn Event

Bongo Cat got a sizable update on November 1, 2026, and the headline addition is a brand new cosmetic slot: Bongos. They sit under your cat and play along with every tap, and you can grab them from your inventory or the BongoDex.

New Bongos cosmetic slot

Bongos save with your presets, so they’ll carry over if you use the Cat Randomizer. They’re also in the skin and hat drop pool now, alongside the standard set and the autumn event ones. If you’d rather not see other players’ bongos in multiplayer, there’s a toggle for that under Multiplayer Settings > Show Bongos.

Supporter items and the Bulletin Board

The Supporter Items tab has been redesigned, and the developers say the Multiplayer tab is next in line for the same treatment. A new item, the Tilcayo cat, has been added to supporter items. You can now buy supporter items and the Paw Pass using Bongo Coins instead of only real money. There’s also a new poll live in the freshly added Bulletin Board tab.

Autumn Event and the Rhythm Paw Pass

Until the end of November 2026, players can open chests and trade saved-up items for the Autumn 2026 collection, which includes three more bongos and three UI themes. The developers noted the UI themes were running a day behind and would land on November 2, 2026.

This month’s Paw Pass is themed around rhythm. It includes up to six bongos to kick off a collection, four new Rhythmi Cats named Trot, Inks, Mimi and Roxy, plus the usual mix of skins, hats and emotes.

Smaller fixes and quality-of-life changes

UI themes now drop from the emoji chest too, with Bongo Light, Gravel and Karbon Grey currently available alongside the autumn-themed ones. The update also adds placement options for the tap counter and multiplayer nameplates, an auto-hide toggle for the counter via F2, and the option to move inventory tabs to either side of the screen.

There are settings to turn off UI animations and to hide rarity borders on items, plus a fix for the lobby host being able to hide lobby codes, a longer 256-character limit for lobby names, and a language filter for lobby names. Discord activities are working again, so invites through Discord should go out normally. A handful of smaller bugs were also fixed, including issues with cat positioning on startup, window transparency after an unexpected close, and Korean text showing raw formatting tags in chat.

What this means for players

Nothing here touches files you’d need to back up before updating, since Bongo Cat’s cosmetics and settings are tied to your account rather than loose mod files. Just update the game to see the new Bongos slot and pull in the autumn items before the event ends later this month. If you rely on Discord invites or custom lobby names, it’s worth checking those settings again now that they’ve changed.
