Satisfactory just got crossplay. As of the November 4, 2026 update, Pioneers on Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X can build, automate and explore together in the same multiplayer session, no matter which platform they are on.

How crossplay actually works

Crossplay runs through Epic Online Services, so you will need a free Epic Games account to use it and to manage your cross platform friend list. The developer points players to the support page on the official Satisfactory site for the full FAQ and setup steps if you want to get into the details before jumping into a session with friends on other platforms.

One limit to know about: dedicated servers are still PC only, so you cannot use a dedicated server for a crossplay session right now.

A new hosting partner

Alongside crossplay, the studio announced a partnership with Indifferent Broccoli for dedicated server hosting. The developer says it decided to work with them after seeing their collaboration with the community run Coffee Cup Studios events. If you are in the market for server hosting, there is now a Rent a Server button in the Server Manager menu on PC that links straight to Indifferent Broccoli, alongside a link to Coffee Cup Studios itself.

Telemetry changes and a new popup

The update also overhauls the game’s internal telemetry systems, which the developer uses to gather gameplay data for future development and bug investigation. Because the system is new, you will see a one time popup the next time you launch Satisfactory asking whether you want to share gameplay data. Two new options also show up under the Gameplay tab in the Options menu: Send Gameplay Data and Telemetry ID. You can change your choice at any time from there.

What this means for mods

Satisfactory has an active modding community, and any update that touches core multiplayer code, UI systems or save handling is the kind of change that can affect mods that hook into those same systems. Nothing in this announcement calls out a modding API change directly, but general experience with updates like this is that mod compatibility can shift even when it is not the headline feature. If you run mods, it is a reasonable moment to back up your save and check whether your mod list has been updated for this version before loading into a big base.

Bugfixes worth knowing about

Beyond crossplay and telemetry, this patch carries a long list of fixes the team says it has been preparing for a while. Highlights include fixes for several crash causes, including one tied to drone pathing on dedicated servers and another linked to the Blueprint Designer and Vehicle Inventory UI hitting object limits. Vehicle autopilot got several adjustments to stop vehicles trailing behind each other or stealing path reservations, and there are fixes for Truck Stations getting vehicles stuck or allowing bad nudging near paths.

Smaller fixes cover things like map zoom resetting every time you open the map, missing Nuclear Reactor sounds, rain not rendering correctly while driving, and Map Marker names failing to save unless you press Enter. The developer says more fixes are still in progress and is asking players to report issues on its QA site if the update causes new problems.
