Downloading
How do I download a file?
Open the file page, press Download and wait out the countdown. The file then starts on its own. The guide walks through the same steps in more detail.
Is it free?
Yes. Every file here is free. There is no premium tier, no subscription and no paid queue.
Do I need an account?
No, not for downloading. Downloading needs no account, and that has not changed. Open a file page and press Download. The site does have accounts now, but they are for mod authors and they make no difference to downloading.
Why is there a countdown?
The button waits out a short countdown and then hands you a signed link. That is the whole process. Waiting longer unlocks nothing, and there is no second button.
Why did my download link stop working?
A signed link is valid for six hours from the moment you press Download. After that the server refuses it, which is why an old link from a forum post or a chat window fails. Go back to the file page and press Download again for a fresh link.
Why is my download speed capped?
The first 25 MB come at full speed. After that each stream is capped at 6 MB/s, and you can have four downloads running at a time. The caps stop one visitor taking the whole line.
Can I pause and resume?
Yes. Downloads are resumable, so a dropped connection or a paused transfer can pick up where it left off. The six hours run from the moment you pressed Download, not from the moment the transfer stopped. If the link has expired, go back to the file page and press Download again first.
Can I share the link?
Share the file page address, the one with /f/ and the eight-character code in it. Do not pass on the download link itself. It is signed, it expires after six hours, and it will fail for whoever you send it to.
Safety and virus scans
Is it safe to download from here?
Not every file is scanned. Each file page prints its own scan state, and you can read it before you press Download. Check it and decide for yourself.
What do the scan results mean?
A file page shows one of three states.

A file says clean. Does that guarantee anything?
No. It means no engine flagged the file at the time it was scanned. That is not a promise. Keep your own antivirus running, and back up your game folder before you install a mod.
The files
Where do the files come from?
They are my own library: the mod files behind crashmods.com, the mod site I run. They sit here so that downloads do not depend on somebody else’s file host. I did not make the mods. Their authors did.
Can I upload my own files?
Not at the moment. Uploading is not open. Registering an account does not change that: an account today holds nothing but your own details. There is no points scheme, no payouts, no premium and no API. If you are a mod author and want to ask about it, write to me on the contact page.
Accounts
What is an account for?
Accounts are meant for mod authors. Today an account holds nothing but your own details: your name, your e-mail address and a hashed password. It does not let you upload, and it gives you no points, no payouts, no premium and no API. Members cannot reach the WordPress admin area either; they get the /account/ page instead.
How do I sign up?
Go to /register/. You give a name of 3 to 30 characters, made of letters, numbers, dots, dashes or underscores, an e-mail address and a password of at least 10 characters. You also tick that you accept the terms and the privacy page. Sign-ups are limited to 3 an hour and 10 a day per network, so on a shared connection you may have to wait.
The confirmation e-mail did not arrive. What now?
You cannot log in until you open the link in that e-mail, and the link is good for 48 hours. Check the spam folder first. A new one can be sent, within limits: at most 4 confirmation mails per account, one every ten minutes, and at most 3 resend requests an hour per network. If the address is never confirmed, the account is deleted automatically after 7 days, and you can simply sign up again.
How do I sign in with Google?
There is a Google button on /login/. Google shows you its own consent screen, and that screen governs what happens on Google’s side. If you go through with it, the site receives your e-mail address, your Google display name and the identifier Google uses for your account. I never see your Google password.
How do I change my password?
On the /account/ page. Log-in attempts are limited to 10 per 15 minutes per network and 10 per account, and password-reset requests to 3 an hour per network.
Can I change my e-mail address?
Not yourself. There is no field for it. Write to me on the contact page and ask.
How do I delete my account?
Ask through the contact page. The account and everything in it is then deleted. There is no button on the site that does it for you.
Is there an age limit?
No. There is no age check anywhere on the site, and no minimum age is set.
Privacy
What happens to my data?
If you are only downloading, the site sets no cookies for logged-out visitors and runs no analytics, so there is no tracking script on any page, and you hand over no name and no e-mail address. The server keeps its own access logs: IP address, time, request, user agent and bytes. Those are rotated and deleted after 14 days. The markers behind the download rate limit and the download counter hold a salted hash of your IPv4 address, or of your IPv6 /64, rather than the address itself, and they expire within the hour.
If you register, you give a name and an e-mail address, and your password is stored hashed, never as the password itself. Your sign-up IP address is kept as a salted hash rather than as the address. Logging in sets WordPress login cookies in your browser, and WordPress records the session token, the IP address and the browser user-agent of each login in your account’s session data. Are there ads?
No. There are no ads on the site, and no analytics either.
Reports and copyright
How do I report a file?
Every file page has a report form. Use the form on the page of the file you mean and say what is wrong with it. The report holds the reason, what you write, your e-mail address if you give one, and your IP address; it is kept as a private post on the site, sent to me by e-mail, and deleted automatically 24 months after it arrives. If you write through the contact page instead, paste in the /f/ address, because otherwise I cannot tell which file you mean.
A mod of mine is here and I did not agree to it. What now?
Send a copyright notice through the DMCA page, which explains how to send one. That is the right route if you are the author and want the file removed.
About the site
Who runs this?
I do: Máté Geszti, known online as CrashMozi. I run it on my own from Hungary, alongside crashmods.com. The servers and storage are at Hetzner in Germany, and traffic passes through Cloudflare.
How long has the site been running?
It went live on 20 September 2026, so it is new. There is no track record to point at yet.
How do I get in touch?
Use the contact page. What you send through it holds the same details as a report, comes to me by e-mail and is deleted automatically after 24 months. Formal details are on the imprint, and the rules for using the site are in the terms. For a problem with one file, use the report form on that file’s page.
